Who wouldn’t like to have an ideal body weight? it is a rhetorical question. Obviously everyone wants to get an ideal body weight. Not just only because of cosmetic reasons, but rather that for the sake of health.
The tendency to save calories and fat causes many people in the world are overweight and even obese. Now it’s time to fix and take a wise step, at least keep from becoming worse. Accordingly, people need to find out how to cut weight safely.
The definition of overweight or obesity is very varied, but in general obesity is a condition in which body fat has been piling up so that it can cause bad effects on health. In normal conditions, fat body serves as a backup energy, regulating body temperature, protection from trauma and other functions.
People who are overweight, the fat is usually distributed to the entire body or just concentrated in the stomach, at the hips or thighs. The balance between calorie intake with the energy consumption will maintain the balance of a person’s weight. If someone takes a lot of calories but less burning energy, then the excess calories will be stored as fat. It will increase the weight. Most of the causes of obesity are high calorie consumption is not accompanied by adequate physical activity.
Obesity treatment options include two targets:
1. To achieve a healty bodyweight.
2. To maintain that healthy bodyweight.
Those people who are obese in many cases are frustrated since they think they have to lose lots of excess weight before any benefits are experienced. It’s not true. Any obese individual that loses just five to ten percent in their body weight will have significant progress in health – this may mean between 12-25 pounds for an overweight one who weighs 250 pounds.
It is very important for people to know that a small drop in weight is a good start. Experts have observed that obese people who reduce weight little by little and constantly, say a few pounds a week, are more successful in keeping how much their weight down when they have obtained their target.
Successful and permanent weight loss is best achieved as a result of increased physical exercise, changing how and when you eat, and changing your behaviour. Some people may be prescribed medication, while others might undergo weight loss surgery.
However, the next question is how much you know about your current weight? are you sure that you’ve got an ideal weight? More familiar with your body weight is the main point to determine your next step in order to be successful in your diet resolutions.
The easiest way to determine obesity is compare between the height (kg) with bodyweight (m) or known as the Body Mass Index (BMI) which you can read on the following article.
